Trico LivingWell Retirement Community Pledges $150,000 to Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run

[Calgary, Alberta – May 28, 2024]Trico LivingWell Retirement Community is excited to announce their partnership with Alzheimer Calgary, a local organization dedicated to supporting families impacted by dementia. From 2024 to 2029, Trico LivingWell has committed a total of $150,000 to the organization as the Presenting Sponsor of the Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run.

“Our commitment has always been to champion a life of dignity and joy for our residents, no matter the challenges they face. Our partnership with Alzheimer Calgary reflects this deeply held value, as we join forces to support not just our residents, but those in the greater Calgary community impacted by dementia” says Kelsey Clarke, Executive Director at Trico LivingWell.

From day one, Trico LivingWell has been dedicated to supporting its residents with dementia and other cognitive conditions through their Memory Care program. A cornerstone of their services, the Memory Care program addresses the physical needs of seniors while also empowering them to experience security, purpose, achievement, and significance.

“At Trico LivingWell, we witness the profound journey families navigate when impacted by dementia on a daily basis. Navigating this path requires not just medical care but a robust support system that understands their unique needs and emotions”, says Trico LivingWell’s Lead of Nursing, Cathy Lockhart.

Taking place every October, the Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run sees Calgarians across the city come together to walk and run to raise funds in support of essential care and education for local families impacted by dementia. By supporting the Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run, Trico LivingWell will contribute to the vital network of support championed by Alzheimer Calgary, ensuring families know they are not alone on this challenging path.
