The Trico LivingWell Difference: More Than a Building, It’s a Promise
At Trico LivingWell, our commitment to creating a healthier, safer, and more comfortable community goes beyond just design and construction. It’s about a continuous dedication to the well-being of our residents. We’re proud to hold the WELL Certification at the Gold Level, a globally recognized standard that measures how buildings support human health. But for us, certification isn’t a one-time achievement; it’s a promise we keep through ongoing testing, monitoring, and improvement. We’ve recently completed another round of performance testing, and we’re thrilled to confirm we continue to meet the rigorous WELL Certification at the Gold Level requirements.
What Makes a Building WELL?
The WELL Building Standard (WELL Certification at the Gold Level) is the world’s leading framework for advancing health in the built environment. It focuses on 10 interconnected concepts that impact everyday life:
- Air: We ensure clean, filtered indoor air.
- Water: We provide safe, high-quality drinking water.
- Nourishment: We support healthy eating choices.
- Light: We use natural and artificial light to support vision and mood.
- Movement: Our spaces and features encourage physical activity.
- Thermal Comfort: We maintain stable and comfortable temperatures.
- Sound: Our design choices reduce noise and improve acoustics.
- Materials: We use safe, non-toxic building materials.
- Mind: Our design and programs support mental health.
- Community: We foster connection and inclusivity.
Gold Certification by WELL means our community is independently tested and verified across these categories, ensuring our residents live in a space that actively supports their well-being.
Our Latest Test Results
Our recent round of performance testing focused on the core environmental factors that make a tangible difference in daily life. Independent experts conducted onsite evaluations to confirm that our systems and design are performing exactly as intended.
For example, air quality testing confirmed that our advanced filtration systems are maintaining healthy indoor air. Water testing showed that residents continue to enjoy safe, clean drinking water. Light levels were measured to ensure both natural and indoor lighting meet wellness standards, and acoustic checks confirmed that sound levels support a calm and restful living environment. Finally, materials testing verified our use of non-toxic finishes and low-VOC products.
These results are more than just data points; they’re a testament to our community’s high standards.
Why This Matters for You and Your Family
For our residents and their loved ones, this ongoing WELL testing provides invaluable peace of mind. It means you can feel confident that you’re living in a community designed to support your health. The benefits aren’t abstract—they directly impact daily life in meaningful ways: cleaner air that supports breathing, safer drinking water, comfortable indoor temperatures, and quieter, more restful spaces. These are the details that help residents feel healthier, happier, and truly at home.
Our Journey to Continuous Improvement
Completing this round of WELL testing is another milestone in our commitment to wellness. Future evaluations help us continually enhance nourishment, movement, mental health, and community connection. As part of this work, Trico LivingWell is collaborating with Colorado State University’s Institute for the Built Environment (IBE) to run an annual occupancy survey that examines how WELL-aligned design and programming support both resident and employee health and wellbeing. The WELL Building Standard elevates human experience through thoughtful design, supportive policies, and measurable performance—and at Trico LivingWell, WELL Gold is a living framework that keeps us accountable to residents, families, and team members.
